Borland was awesome. In high school once I saw him FLIP over the center and tackle the qb and rb as the handoff was being made. A vault. One complete revolution. He built up all of this speed and just crushed them. He loved football.

I'm with you on the concussion thing. Many parents are not allowing their kids to get into football. Some high schools are starting to drop the football program. The feeder system to the college level, which feeds the NFL is dying.

The equipment changes are not helping the concussion issue. Just the opposite. If you want to avoid concussions, put them back into leather helmets and smaller shoulder pads. Remove the helmet and pads as a weapon. Make it hurt just as bad to hit as it is to get hit.

The poor officiating can be fixed rather quickly if they tried.
