    I think it can be accounted for as a difference in values. Basically, classical liberals value liberty higher than modern liberals who value security higher. But the abortion argument seems to contradict everything liberal.

    When I first started my business many years ago I had a man working for me who although good at his job generally had a complete disconnect with anything approaching normal thought processes. You could never hold an intelligent conversation with him because his responses were always off on a tangent. I'm sure they made sense to him but to everyone else he was just a loon.

    He ended up leaving me and going to work for a company in Palm Coast Florida but was fired a few months later for digging up the grounds around the facility. He was convinced there was gold buried by 18th Century pirates at that exact location.
