    CHURCHILL - Must see movie

A very good movie about a great man.

Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect. -- Woody Hayes

There has been an alternative for many years and if you’re really into this, have a listen to Irving, one of the foremost World War 2 historians in the world. It’s lengthy, but offers another look behind the usual Churchill mainstream stuff.

David Irving is a disgraced fringe historian, not "one of the foremost in the world."

Thanks for sharing, @DGUtley. I enjoyed Albert Finney's Churchill, looking forward to the new one.

Irving is a disgraced and despicable person, a denier of the Holocaust, from what I read. I read the book on this trial: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irving...guin_Books_Ltd which arose out of this book: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denying_the_Holocaust

This is the book that chronicles the defamation trial -- a great read. I may still have it at home. It's particularly interesting the difference between the defamation laws in the US versus the UK. Also, there's quite a bit that I re-learned about the Holocaust. Those detail-oriented Germans kept records on it all: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008GZ4IGS...ng=UTF8&btkr=1
