In Linda Ronstadt's autobiography, she recounts an incident that happened very early in her career. A mid-level record company executive came to her hotel room, ostensibly to discuss business, and immediately, without a word, took off all of his clothes. When she made it clear that nothing was going to happen between them, he got dressed, said, "If you tell anyone, they won't believe you" and left. That would have been in the late '60s, when many older men just assumed that any young woman involved in the performing arts was into "free love" and was fair game. Maybe Weinstein's mentality is just stuck in a previous decade.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

"Only a rank degenerate would drive 1,500 miles across Texas and not eat a chicken fried steak." - Larry McMurtry

While I think Harvey Weinstein is a despicable human being, I also think the women who participated in those "games" as equally despicable. If the women understood the price of getting ahead, and agreed, then I don't consider them victims.

These women knew the cost of accessing his influence and power. They were all part of the same sordid game.
Good point, if asking sexual favors work gains at work is illegal, as it should be, shouldn't giving sexual favors for advancement at work be illegal too?
BTW, how does the OP define sexual harassment at work?

They only assumed that because some were. But this guy was obviously over the top

Well, I think that the article has a point. I have seen a few comments on this site that have discussed the victims and why they didn't immediately report it. It is more complex than that, particularly when the person who harassed or assaulted you has the power to completely ruin you - not just your job or career, but your entire reputation and integrity if the attack back is done 'right'.
Begs the question why any woman would want to work for a male-dominated corporation to begin with, where the boss can just put her out on the street if she refuses to give him a blowie for a promotion.

If I was a woman I'd rather start my own business, be a musician, or learn a trade where I have autonomy and don't have to sit around creepy old men in an office who think of me when they make love to their wives all day, which is why I find the modern commercialized version of 'feminism' which is primarily just pro-corporate propaganda to be rather disenchanting.

They can't have it both ways. I mean a woman's livelhood shouldn't be dependent upon sexual favors . But she shouldn't be able to use sexual favors to climb the ladder either. I also believe the issue should be reported within the criminal statue of limitations, if a crime took place .
You can't benefit from the willingly flopping on the casting couch then call it "harrassment " 10 years later

If I had employees I'd go with a no dating policy. I guess I'd have to add a no hook up policy

I lived in Hollywood for 20 years. You are exactly right. There is no bigger whore than a wannabe actress.
