I do not know if we would invade the North. But the South Koreans would. They will have to overrun all of the artillery within range of those five or six cities along the border.

Chinese missiles are excellent. If they fire, they'll hit their target. NK is at a more primitive stage of development.

Given that Bill Clinton and Loral gave them the technology, I am confident their missiles are sufficiently accurate for most purposes. North Korean ICBMs must be able to position a warhead above the US in just a few general locations. I have mentioned the locations before.

Right. One burst somewhere over Pennsylvania will collapse the Eastern grid. One over Oklahoma City or Dallas will collapse the Texas grid (and one other small grid). One somewhere east of San Francisco will collapse the Western grid.

Are you confused about options the North Koreans may have versus the Chinese? I could understand the North Koreans attempting an EMP attack. The Chinses have a different situation. Why, in your opinion, would the Chinese choose to end their nation over the North Koreans?

An attack intended to exploit electromagnetic pulse effects would necessarily be a high altitude burst. Think 35+ kilometers high. An airburst is usually described as a burst used against a surface target where the fireball does not touch the ground.
