The thread title, if you're not familiar with it, comes from a bit that comedian Bill Engvall does about having stupid people wear signs identifying them as such, so that those around them will not be surprised.
Has anyone asked you a stupid or really unnecessary question lately? (And no, this one doesn't count. Only IRL examples, please.)
One day last week, the email at my work was down - nothing coming in or out, all day. I discovered this in the morning when I tried to send a message, clicking "Send" several times...and later in the day I tried sending the same message again several times without success.
Apparently, the ITs got it fixed later that evening and when I came in the next day I saw that my email message had gone out - 15 times.
A couple of hours later, the recipient emailed me, asking, "We got your message fifteen times. Was that a mistake?"
I responded, "No. We just really, really, really wanted to make sure you got it."
