Peter......does anyone on this thread realize how insane full support for Kurdish autonomy is for the US? Might you explain that their caterwauling over rights and how horrible the Iraq government is for 'invading' their own f'n country is about off base, inaccurate, and totally misunderstands what the fck is going on.

Cause it's not probably, Peter. It's every country over there. Every single one save for Israel who would like nothing better than to fragment the Iranian Shia Crescent, who would like to see Iraq and Syria weakened.

Recognition does not mean we must defend their independence. Whether or not that recognition qualifies as having "done our job" is irrelevant.
