I have to admit it gave me a start.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

My mom swore the house we lived in when I was born was haunted. The man who lived there after us moved out after a few months saying the same thing. After that it sat empty for a few years and was eventually torn down. The only creepy thing I can recall vividly was something I was playing with disappeared when I was in the room by myself when I was maybe 4 or 5. I looked high and low and never ever found it again. My mom was in the kitchen and my baby sister was in the crib and nobody else was there. I even got upset with my mom thinking she was playing a mean joke on me but she wasn't. That toy literally was never seen again and we lived there until I was 8.
A lot of people died in that house before we lived there back in the day when epidemics were common, mostly kids. There was an old cemetery up the hill where they were all buried.
