    Cultural appropriation

Wow, now Halloween is a target, if you wear a sombrero, you are turning a culture and that is "offensive" WTF?

For ages, americans have dressed as whatever you could imagine, no more! This PC SJW warrior crap has gone to far, where will it stop! Who will stop it?

    Heard about this.

Need to buy a sombrero and some black paint now. And a Hitler costume with rainbow highlights.

I mean if I'm going to offend people, I want to go for the gold.

F that. I would let my kid wear anything they wanted. I remember a trend where we in sixth grade all dressed as old women. My Dad was not pleased. After Halloween I asked my Mom about it. She said her brother, my Uncle, was a hetero cross dresser. LOL. That explained everything. LOL

A couple of years ago, the Arizona Diamondbacks gave away these big straw sombreros at a game on one of the several Hispanic Heritage nights they have every season. I actually sort of cringed when I heard about it, because I was expecting some kind of backlash or criticism from somebody in the Phoenix area's sizeable Hispanic community. And guess what? There was no uproar, no negative reaction whatsoever. Some people still wear them to the games, and some of those people are identifiably Hispanic. I tend to believe that the number of folks who are actually, genuinely offended by such things is very small - they're just very vocal, like to hear themselves talk and possibly didn't get enough attention as children.

Agreed, why do people think they can be offended on behalf of a culture they are not even part of, when people actually in that culture, are not offended?

When I use the SJW term, those sort of people, are who I refer to. People who run out of causes and need to make some.

Except this didn't start with PC Warriors. It started with churches saying no you can't come to our Halloween functions if you are dressed as the devil, a ghost, a pirate, skeleton, bad guys, etc.
