Marsy's law has been approved as a constitutional amendment in Ohio. It will put into the Constitution victims’ rights to privacy, to information about services; to notification of proceedings, release and escape of the accused; to a prompt conclusion; to refuse discovery requests; to protection and to restitution.
Those opposing it are concerned that the amendment gives victims legal standing in criminal cases. I had concerns about due process and it's constitutionality vis-à-vis the USC. We will see....
