Dissidents generally always want greater freedom, at least right up to the point they come to power, and then the oppressed become the oppressors.

I respect your opinion and I think we've discussed this before. However, I believe corporations use government to control because it is the easiest tool at hand. Without government we would see the corporate armies of futuristic Sci-fi develop.
At any rate I think we can both agree that currently the two ( megacorps and government) are almost one and that we cannot really tell where one ends and the other begins. For example the FDA.

I've explained this repeatedly Ransom and told you I would do so no more. Nice try. I will point out that anyone capable of free thought understands limited options though.

Yet another reason why our Constitution was the greatest blue print for government ever written. If only we would follow it.

I believe corporations use government to control because it is the easiest tool at hand.
"There are two fundamentally opposed means whereby man, requiring sustenance, is impelled to obtain the necessary means for satisfying his desires. These are work and robbery, one’s own labor and the forcible appropriation of the labor of others… I propose in the following discussion to call one’s own labor and the equivalent exchange of one’s own labor for the labor of others, the “economic means” for the satisfaction of needs, while the unrequited appropriation of the labor of others will be called the “political means.”" --Franz Oppenheimer, 1922

Without government we would see the corporate armies of futuristic Sci-fi develop.
Oh? Where would they get their power. There would be no political means.
