Republicans Confident They Have Needed Votes for Tax Reform

Is this a good thing, I dont know yet I dont know whats in it or how it will work yet.
I know they made alot of changes since the first draft passed the house. I will hold judgement until I know whats in it.

On Sunday, several prominent Republicans reassured voters that President Donald J. Trump’s tax reform plan has the necessary votes to pass through Congress, reports the Washington Examiner.
Today, on Fox and Friends, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) discussed his confidence that the majority of the Freedom Caucus would support President Trump’s tax reform, more properly known as as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
"We've been working really well with them," Scalise told "Fox and Friends."
"I talk to Mark Meadows on a regular basis, and most of the members of the Freedom Caucus that we've talked to, they are really supportive of this bill, as are most members of our conference."

The House Plan does away with the lowest 10% bracket. Their lowest bracket will start at 12%. So that would represent a tax increase for anyone who was in the 10% bracket. And it only goes up to $45,000. So for any income over $45,000 you would pay 25%.

The Senate Tax Plan seems a little better but still represents a tax increase for many in the middle class: $0 to $9,525 gets taxed at 10%,.......$9525 to $38,700 gets taxed at 12%,......... $38,700 to $60,000 gets taxed at 22.5%,..........$60,000 to 170,000 gets taxed at 25%.

Didn't President Trump promise a tax cut for everyone in the middle class? Well, as far as I can tell, this is not it.

If Trump says it is, it is. Until it isn't when he will still say that it is, or maybe he won't.

How many times were they confident they had enough votes to pass healthcare?
