    Other than cut worms on peppers, I am not sure they make that much difference as far as pests since most of them are flying critters. I personally find in my area that peppers do better planted in the ground as far as production. This was a bumper year for me with hot varieties off only 18 plants. The jalapenos in particular seemed to grow back as soon as you picked them.

    Depends what you plant, I hear certain things are better, like cherry tomatoes, over regular.
