Renaming Robert E. Lee high comes with a price tag of nearly $300k

Just as protested must pay fees associated with protest in public places, so too ought to SJWs pay for change in names and statue removal.

RENAMING ROBERT E. LEE HIGH COMES WITH A PRICE TAG OF NEARLY $300K

In an era when school finance is a contentious issue, $300,000 is a lot of money for any school district's budget. The district said in a recently released report that if board trustees wish to change school colors and mascot, taxpayers will have to shell out a grand total of $1.3 million.

A few weeks ago, NEISD trustees voted to change the name of Robert E. Lee High School to Legacy of Educational Excellence, or LEE High school — That decision came in midst of a national debate on Confederate monuments.

In order for that to happen, new signage, scoreboard panels, wall logo plaques, banners and even stationary will have to change. And the Athletics Department will have the biggest cost at at $94,000.

The district is also planning to add a museum on campus to recognize the school's legacy with a cost of $15,000.

    Oops
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

The biggest oops is social justice, ahem, comes at a cost to education. Life's little tradeoffs.

For the same reason if the majority were attending a school named Nat Turner High.

The same crap that is also behind the National Anthem where the only word in the song "slave" is in a verse that no one sings. Instead of changing the name of the school, why don't they take that money and use it for blacks in poor communities a chance at a higher education.
