Someone got all ginned up about renaming one of our public libraries after a black woman who really never did much other than be a teacher, got all the way through the preliminary approval and then found out that they were going to have to pay for the cost of this naming the library at which point they dropped their petition hoping somebody else will step up to pay for it because they just never realized how expensive these seemingly simple things can be.
