Some thoughts from Wisconsin. Disapproval doesn't necessarily mean "hate".

I second this sentiment. I don't hate Trump. I just view him as the totally unqualified buffoon that he is.

These kinds of statistics are largely irrelevant where Congress is concerned. America as a whole doesn't pick who goes to Congress, we only pick who represents our districts/states in Congress. Also, despite historically low approval ratings for Congress in general (14% as of 2014), more than half of Americans (54%) say they approve of their own senator/representative. Incumbents also tend to have pretty good electoral survivability.

Regardless, it should be an interesting midterm to watch.
"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
    - Robert F. Kennedy (1925-1968), U.S. Senator from New York and U.S. Attorney General

Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.
