I wasn't actually referring to Trump's mental health but since you bring it up I am guessing you have some concerns. Please tell us about them.

    Yes, it's perfectly appropriate.

It will be until the next person is in office, then suddenly they will be worried about decorum.
“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”

You don’t find that there is a lack of sincerity and personal touch when it’s done over social media? If you experienced tragedy would a text make you feel better?

A message is a message, regardless of how it's delivered. I suppose a hand written letter, calligraphied with a feather quill pen, sealed with a wax stamp and delivered by a personal manservant via horseback, would be nicer.

A text would not make me feel better or worse. Nor would the afore-mentioned letter.

In this day and age? Yes. A phone call would have, of course, been more personal, but, people don't talk to each other anymore, it's FB, Twitter and, whatever else is out there.

Tweeting has become a perfectly acceptable form of communication.

There is nothing that would make me feel better, at a time like that, so, to me, it wouldn't matter how the condolences were delivered.
