The Navy admitted one of its aircraft created obscene skydrawings

    Another accident?

The Navy admitted one of its aircraft created obscene skydrawings

The Navy has admitted that one of its aircraft was involved in seemingly obscene skydrawings that appeared over Okanogan County, Washington, according to KREM.

KREM on Thursday reported that officials with the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island said one of their aircraft created multiple images some people interpreted as male genitalia.

“The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable,” Navy officials from the station said in a statement.

Fairly good piloting but if those guys want to be skywriters they need to wait til their service is up and buy their own plane. Maybe the Navy will help them out and cut their service short.

Can't believe the air was still enough to keep the image that long.

Back when the military was not hogtied by political correctness, the pilot would have only gotten an ass chewing. Today his career is effectively over (even with only a letter of reprimand)- and we are too short on pilots as it is.

Just something pilots do. Without leaving such an obvious footprint behind, a lot of pilots seem to like doing designs in their routes. Before I deactivated my facebook, several pilot buddies for airlines would post their routes and show how they and some of the others created various patterns that only show up in the navigational stuff as many of them work for the same airlines and know each other and would track their partner in crimes flights to do this.
