I agree. We're fools to think they even pay taxes anyway. We pay their "taxes" with our money every time we buy their products or use their services. We also pay by having jobs lost to foreign corporations who pay less than 35%.

Well, the fact of the matter is that the average "effective" corporate rate is 22% and some companies like GE, have a -0- effective rate. Comparison of rates alone is seriously misleading. (The "effective" rate is the actual rate paid on NIBT)

Exactly they dont tell the truth about the corporate tax rate. Most corporations pay nothing and havent for decades. In 2010 the 10 biggest corporations paid zero taxs.

I refuse to blindly follow republican talking points when I dont believe them or im dead set against them

I dont see how anyone can opine the plight of corporate americas tax burden when they mostly dont have any in the end. With the present tax rate they have gotten FABULOUSLY richer.

Yet all you ever hear from republicans is the rich need a break corporations needs a tax break.

GWBUSH gave corporate america and the rich a huge tax cut and it not only didnt create a single job we lost them. Bush said it was middleclass tax cut too

The other bull$#@! story is give them a tax cut they will bring jobs back to america. No they wont, if they can make more money after the tax cut keeping the jobs in china thats exactly what they will do.

Sorry fellow republicans i dont buy into the corporate bull$#@!.

Most companies are small businesses and don't get the tax breaks the big guys do.

Companies paid big donations every year to make this -0- effective rate possible. The difference being is they paid this to politicians and not to the IRS. I would hope that by eliminating corporate taxes that they will lose interest in paying donations to politicians. The public has suffered long enough with corporations buying their way out of taxes, moving to other countries that took our jobs with them, a pass to no longer paying health premiums to the insurers, and so on.

    1) The United States has the third highest general top marginal corporate income tax rate in the world, at 38.92 percent. Due to the recent reduction in Chad’s corporate tax rate, the U.S. rate is exceeded only by the United Arab Emirates and Puerto Rico.

Uhhh.....is that good? The UAE....and Puerto Rico(speaking of something that would attract investment given you've just had a major hurricane you rocket scientists in San Juan, lower your corporate tax rate) stand above the US although PR is so smart, their corp tax rate is .01 above ours. A race to idiocy.

    2) The worldwide average top corporate income tax rate, across 188 countries and tax jurisdictions, is 22.5 percent

Uhhhh....is that good? That the world average is 22.5%....and ours is 38.92%? Is that smart regulation, should we not want corporations to have a fair playing field in the US? Who made that tax rate?

    3) By region, Europe has the lowest average corporate tax rate, at 18.88 percent

Uhhhhhh...is that good? Europe sports a corporate rate of 18.88%.......and we f'n rocket scientists here in the US......we more than double that.....that's how f'n smart we are.

    4) Every region in the world has seen a decline in its average corporate tax rate in the past thirteen years.

Really? Well.....here in the United States region.....we call it the rich not paying their fair share. That the profits from these corporations come off the backs of the working class. Every other region on the planet.....lowers the corporate tax rate.....because they want corporations to being their businesses there!!!!!! Imagine that.

Let's see.....should I incorporate and pour money into the US......at 39% tax rate....or Europe at 19%.......hmmmmm.....that's a tough one I gotta tell you.

What do you think United States? Why not we increase corporate taxes? Would not that bring in more money? Or would it affect economic growth and bring in less monies?

    Ponder and pontificate on that

Corporate taxes are mental masturbation . Who's really paying those taxes anyway? In a true free market if we dropped corporate tax , the savings would be passed on to the customer who could then pay much more sensible consumption taxes probably at an overall gain. Foriegn sales of items produced here would be tricky but I'm sure we could figure something out after all taxation is one of our specialites

If you eliminate income taxes totally, corporations will pay that and not be able to lobby out of it.
