Hannah Bohman, Canadian, joined a 24,000 member, all-female military group organized to fight ISIS and to fight for women's rights (YPJ). This documentary is largely based around her, but parts of the trailer pretty interesting. I knew that ISIS had archiac beliefs about women, but did not know they believe they go to hell if killed by one. There should be more members, clearly.

Anyways, it's an interesting trailer/clip, concept, and kind of opens your eyes a bit. Bohman comments that a lot of people have left western countries to join ISIS, while fewer have left western countries to fight against them.

Hopefully they are getting proper training. Otherwise, 24,000 women volunteers are really giving a big "$#@! you" to ISIS.

This woman exemplifies everything I hoped the US and worldwide feminists would embrace and politically back, the fight against the degradation of women in the Muslim culture.

I have denigrated Canadians on this forum, male and female, for my own political and personal butt-hurt reasons. I must re-evaluate my personal foibles to take into the account women and men of Canada that take a personal stance against the evils in our world at the risk of their own existence.

Not just Canadians, or even many - believe it is primarily made up of Kurdish women. Foreign volunteers make up a portion of the force.

God save her and her comrades. I hope some pipe-line of aid from our two countries is reaching her and her compatriots. I do fear the Iranian backed Iraqis moving against them for oil revenue reasons and the US limp response. President Trump should say, move against my friends you move against me and the USA and our allies (Canada). DC lawyers may strike that from the conversation though. Come on CIA and Trump. Help the Kurds! On the down-low dont ya know.

I think that for many of the women who live there, they fully realize the risks but also accept that it is a necessary risk. They have fought in a lot of the main battles, but they also stand for something.
