Ann Turner Cook, the woman whose face launched the iconic Gerber baby logo, turned 91 this week.
Cook, a mystery novelist and retired English teacher, skyrocketed to fame when she was four months old in 1928.
That’s the year Gerber held a competition to find the face of its newly launched baby food line.
The sketch of Cook — wide-eyed and adorable — by artist Dorothy Hope Smith won the contest.
“The executives at Gerber couldn’t resist the adorable baby face and selected the classic drawing,” according to Gerber.
