...where we were discussing how some folks, particularly in the big cities, make a living by scavenging stuff off the street, etc.; I was going to revive the old thread, a la waltky, but I was unable to locate it. In that thread, I was telling @resister about a book I'd read on the subject that included a chapter on people who dig down into old, filled-in privies and such to find rare, collectible bottles and other things, but I couldn't remember for sure what the title of the book was.
Well, it turns out I did remember the title - I just didn't recognize it, from the Amazon description, as being the book I was thinking about. The book is called "Mongo: Adventures in Trash", and I found my copy while going through some book boxes in the garage today.
