Your plan, which I have always supported, would pretty much eliminate the subjective nonsense and offer every program in the country an equal shot of playing for it all.

I have issues with us playing too many games, so I would advocate, instead of shortening the season and losing revenue, making every player sit out one game.

I'm quite familiar with that and fully understand the selection committee chose the best 4 according to it's criteria. I'm just saying if you're going to have playoffs then conference championships should mean something.

Then expand the number of teams. Ohio state still lost two games neither one were close and one was against an unranked team.

I'm neither an SEC or Alabama fan, but Ohio state would have finished no better than 4th in the SEC. They have no claim to the top 4.
