By the way, Teddy Roosevelt was an east coast elitist and an imperialist turd who referred to Thomas Paine as a "filthy little atheist" and blamed Thomas Jefferson for the civil war.

I hope he burns in hell.

And right up there with Washington and Jefferson.
    Get over it.

This shows you know very little about American history.

    Get over it.
There is nothing to get over.

    Get over it?

Teddy may have been the right guy for the times. Or maybe he wasn't. One cannot amend the Constitution with a law. The Constitution does not allow the Federal government to own a third of the West. It is time to fix that.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

So article 1 section 8 is not constitutional?

    Or article 4 section 3.

    That's different.

So when are you going to explain why the eastern States have almost no federal land ownership? Did the people who actually debated and wrote the constitution forget to exercise a power they reserved to themselves?

It's just another tortuous and silly interpretation of the constitution that is completely divorced from reality, much like the "liberal" interpretation of the second amendment.

When Trump Guts Two Utah National Monuments Next Week, He'll Trigger a New Conservation War

President Trump plans to head for Utah on Monday to wreak destruction on public lands he knows nothing about.

Hatch, Zinke and the rest ignore this history. They ignore science. They ignore the impossibility of mining coal profitably on the remote Kaiparowits. They ignore the 2.8 million citizens who told Zinke last summer to leave our monuments intact. They ignore the monument’s 900,000 annual visitors, stunned by sculptured slickrock and bedazzled by the Milky Way alight in the darkest of night skies. The senator and the secretary cater only to a stubborn handful of rural Utahns.

Trump’s Cuts to National Monuments Hurt Native Americans Most

This isn’t just about the great outdoors.

In Utah on Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke announced their decision to dramatically reduce the size of two of the state’s national monuments—Bears Ears National Monument will be cut by 80 percent, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument by 45 percent. The move, which is legally fraught and an unusual use of presidential power, will likely allow for mining and drilling to return to the land.

It's an absurd thing to do in my opinion and is only being done to appease his hard line supporters and most importantly to appease energy company executives that will then pay him and the GOP back "bigly". This isn't being done to help the environment or for the public. It's solely being done as a middle finger and a money grab. It's very sad because it's the land and our environment that will suffer most.

Uranium mining has already polluted parts of native lands, now they want to polute more of it.
