Trump will Trigger a New Conservation War

Seems anything a democrat has done before, Trump is eager to undo in his immature little thug way.

Illegal you say? Who cares.... Clinton and Obama did it.

When Trump Guts Two Utah National Monuments Next Week, He'll Trigger a New Conservation War

President Trump plans to head for Utah on Monday to wreak destruction on public lands he knows nothing about.

Hatch, Zinke and the rest ignore this history. They ignore science. They ignore the impossibility of mining coal profitably on the remote Kaiparowits. They ignore the 2.8 million citizens who told Zinke last summer to leave our monuments intact. They ignore the monument’s 900,000 annual visitors, stunned by sculptured slickrock and bedazzled by the Milky Way alight in the darkest of night skies. The senator and the secretary cater only to a stubborn handful of rural Utahns.

Trump’s Cuts to National Monuments Hurt Native Americans Most

This isn’t just about the great outdoors.

In Utah on Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke announced their decision to dramatically reduce the size of two of the state’s national monuments—Bears Ears National Monument will be cut by 80 percent, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument by 45 percent. The move, which is legally fraught and an unusual use of presidential power, will likely allow for mining and drilling to return to the land.

LOL. This thread is buffoonish. Good job.

What does the Constitution say about lands the Federal government may own or control?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

    Wrong move.

If you making a case for the next democratic congress to make these places permanently protected by making them National Parks, I am with you.

But still it doesn't seem Trump wants to make America Great again, or even leave a living legacy, he just wants to make deals for his big donars.

Trump’s chilling contempt for future generations

One way the American people get a glimpse into how American presidents see who we are as a nation — and, importantly, who they want us to be — is how they act as stewards of our country’s vast natural resources.

President Theodore Roosevelt preserved the Grand Canyon because in the rugged chasms carved by the Colorado River, he saw a landscape that echoed and nourished the wild character of a growing nation.

In creating the largest marine protected area in the world at the time — Papahanaumokuakea in the northwest Hawaiian Islands — President George W. Bush spoke of a moral call to conservation and a “duty to be good stewards of the Almighty’s creation.”

But where earlier presidents have shown respect for our past and commitment to our future, President Trump is displaying a stinginess of mind, a hollowness of spirit and a contempt for future generations.

Trump lashed out at communities — including Baltimore and Charlottesville — that have decided to remove 20th-century monuments erected to glorify the Confederacy, monuments that white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis are fighting with deadly force to preserve.

“Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

But this week, the president made clear that “history and culture” worth protecting do not include the archeological sites that are sacred to Native Americans, the mountains where Geronimo and Billy the Kid took refuge, or the ocean canyons and coral reefs that are haunted by sharks and shipwrecks.

The Constitution did not make the President a King. The Federal government has a very limited Constitutional power to own or control property. yet about one-third of the west is owned or controlled by the Federal government. President Trump undid the unconstitutional acts that Barack Hussein O took. I am grateful.

You think like the republicans will hold the WH forever. Thankfully we know that is not the case.

So a "national monument" that has only existed for one year is being returned to the way it was for decades. And it's being done using the exact same authority that Obama used to create it in the first place.

Wow. This truly is the end of natural beauty in America.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

The Constitution did not make the President a king. The Constitution does not allow the federal government to own land beyond the designated district of Columbia, places for naval ports, forts, armories and post offices. So how come the Feds own or control about a third of the West?

Barack Hussein O was a tyrant. President Trump has reversed Obama's tyrannical act.
