Take it even a set further, countless times the right has heralded themselves as being the "moral, family oriented, value driven, patriot" of the two party system. Whenever someone on the left, like Harvey Milk, some hollywood elitist, or Bill Clinton did something, they call them deviants, but when it's time to apply the same label for someone on the right, they either attempt to excommunicate that person from the GOP by calling them a RINO, or they double down in their support for them, see Trump and Moore.
