I own, what? Trump playing golf?

This is so true Jim; it annoys the hell out of me that he is doing the same thing he accused Obama of doing while in office and made claims to the effect he'd be so busy he'd never have time to be on the course. Well, we saw how much truth there was in that. How many millions of dollars has it cost the American taxpayers to fund his weekend junkets to play golf? The least he could do is find a golf course over the border in Virginia or Maryland where they can either drive him or chopper him in.
Granted Obama spent quite a bit more, but keep in mind that it was over an 8 year period and Trumps travel has only been 1 month shy of a year; what will it look like in 8 years?

I think Obama will continue to hold the record for money spent for some time to come-
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/report-...0-100-million/
A presidential trip to Africa this month could cost the government anywhere from $60 to $100 million dollars, according to the Washington Post, which obtained an internal planning document for the travel itinerary.
At the end of June, Mr. Obama and his family will take an eight-day trip to sub-Saharan Africa, making stops in Senegal, Tanzania, and South Africa in the name of reinforcing U.S. commitment to forging strong relationships with emerging democracies in the region. The president will hold meetings with "a wide array of leaders from government, business, and civil society, including youth," according to a White House press release announcing the trip, and seek to "underscore the [his administration's] commitment to broadening and deepening cooperation between the United States and the people of sub-Saharan Africa to advance regional and global peace and prosperity."
Presidential trips to foreign countries tend to be expensive in any administration: According to the Post, former President Bill Clinton's 1998 trip to Africa racked up a bill of at least $42.7 million, not including what were likely significant Secret Service costs. For his part, former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, took two trips to Africa in 2003 and 2008, involving significant resources as well. But the also paper reports that, due to "a confluence of factors," Mr. Obama's three-country trip could be "one of the most expensive" of his presidency.
Other factors to consider:
- Trump stays at his own resorts
- He refuses to accept a salary
- He has yet to vacation and take his entire staff, private cooks, and the kids friends with him
- He works on average 19 hours per day
“Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured…but not everyone must prove they are a citizen. And now, any of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.”

Granted you may be right but if he's in office for 8 years, that gives him time to catch up, not just with his traveling but with his families traveling as well.
He may stay at his own resorts, but still bills the government for various services, such as the use of golf carts used by the SS and other services as well. Thus far his golf trips have cost taxpayers $83,447,575 according to www.TrumpGolfCount.com
It is true that he does not accept the $400,000 salary; hopefully as a billionaire he doesn't feel the pinch too much; according to the Washington Post, by the end of August 2017, Trump will have spent all or part of 53 days in office at leisure compared to Barrack Obama's 15 days; moreover according to the Washington Post, Trump will have played 33 rounds of golf, which is almost twice as much as what Barrack Obama played in 2009.

While he may not have taken "vacation", he's taken 3 times as much time off for holidays as Obama took off. If as you maintain, he is averaging 19 hours per day of work, that means he's only getting 35 hours of sleep per week unless he is not counting eating meals as part of the 19 hours per day and then he's getting less sleep then originally factored in.
Below is a breakdown of monies spent on travel and security for both Obama's and Trump's travel. It would appear that Trump has already overspent what Obama spent while as president.
