If you ask me, we have here an interesting contrast.
It is true, Apple made a mistake removing Google Navigator prior to releasing iphone 5. It got bad reviews. Many customer are unhappy. And sales will suffer. There will be immediate consequences.
It is true, NASA did some amazing things, but it spent a lot of money inefficiently. It suffered no consequences for that, because in government your a success and get more funding only if you spend all your given. That's also why it's not rewarded for its successes.
