The EU is scrambling to try to make a last-ditch attempt at crafting a two-state solution because they know that this move will otherwise result in another protracted war and this time America is likely to be standing alone in protecting Israel. This is really dangerous because Israel has nuclear capability. If Israel deploys a nuclear weapon, which the US cannot stop her from doing, it's all over but the crying. It's no secret that Russia supports Syria and may retaliate on her behalf, should a nuclear bomb drop in her territory. Iran may well have nuclear weapons. This whole thing could unravel rapidly and have far reaching consequences.

Because in the end, the president cared less about pursuing a sensible policy and more about saying “I am delivering” for the cameras.

A New York Times report added that Trump “seemed to relish playing a familiar role: the political insurgent, defying foreign policy orthodoxy on behalf of the people who elected him.”

In other words, explaining to Trump the importance of maintaining a delicate security balance, honored by both American parties and U.S. allies, doesn’t work – because he’s the kid who enjoys tearing down the tower of blocks, not the one who likes to build it.

Let's face it, Trump's knowledge/experience in foreign policy is, from a practical point of view, non-existent. He hired people to advise him, but as usual, he's ignoring them. This is basically a pattern in his life, except now, ignoring that advice won't just lose some investors their money, it will lose people their lives and America billions. No doubt that will ultimately include American lives. He doesn't care if he blows up the last 10 years of negotiations and effort.

By doing this he is basically pledging US support to help defend Israel against all comers and throw the region into another spate of all-out warfare. He has no support in this from the EU, the UK, Canada, Russia or Asia. He is irresponsibly effectively pledging financial resources that America doesn't have to spare (given the immense debt) to pursue a policy that frankly will not benefit America, but will cost her dearly financially, in the lives of military personnel and in terms of her relationship with the rest of the world and for what? A notion developed in the 19th century based on a literalist interpretation of Old Testament scripture?

Bibi Netenyahu is an arrogant, war-mongering ego-maniac who has never believed in a two-state solution because he couldn't care less about peace. He wants Israel to take as much land as it requires indefinitely and believes that America is their patsy to make it happen. He doesn't recognize anyone else's right to autonomy or even rights to their homelands and Trump is foolishly puffing up his chest and endorsing this madness.

Between NK and Israel, how thin can America spread herself before she collapses financially? The strength of US currency is just a notion in the minds of currency traders. If they lose confidence, it all falls apart.
He must have a full understanding because Lord knows nobody else can make sense of it but him.

So Trump is being criticizing for doing what other presidents and Congresses have agreed with but never did?

Is this a valid complaint, or just TDS?
