    Fto?

Today, my company introduced a policy called FTO (Flexible Time Off). Basically, you can take as much time off as you want as long as your job commitments are being fulfilled. We are only limited by a few things: we can only take one two-consecutive week FTO per year, and if we are going to be out for a month or more, it needs to fall under our leave policy.

I find it pretty confusing and probably prone to abuse. Everyone here has a very high work ethic, but I could see this possibly becoming an issue. I guess we'll see what happens.
    I'm prancing like a pony.

Sounds good. You have to make sure no one screws it up.

If you can get you work done in one day, why should you goof off on the internet at work the rest of the week? Much easier to do it from home. Of course, liberal ideology says that you can't reward the better employees in such ways. It's unfair to the stupid/lazy/uneducated/liberal ones.

Meh, I worked somewhere once where you could come and go as you pleased, whenever you wanted, just so long as the deadline for your work was met. It was pretty awesome because the over achievers grabbed all the difficult projects and I took a bunch of the easiest ones and then a new rule went into effect for accountability reasons, we could not help each other complete their projects. Just to fight the boredom, I would putt putt round the office, dust, clean the fridge, etc. just to rub it in because I knocked out all mine in no time. I eventually helped the office dwellers with their work which allowed me to jump ahead of the over achievers who were bogged down in monotonous, never ending crap.

This will show who is productive and how fast and who isn't.

If you can get all your work done in one day per week why does your employer need you for the rest of the week. If there are others doing the same thing I would combine those task and let one or more people go. Its just an economic fact. Why spend more than you need to?

I have had jobs where co-workers hate you just for doing a good job, you highlight how $#@!ty they are. They don't like that.
