Family of Miss Iraq forced to flee after selfie with Miss Israel

You have to admire the tolerance of Muslims and yes of course somehow this is Israels fault

Miss Universe contestant Sarah Idan has confirmed that her family has fled their home country of Iraq after a harmless selfie with Miss Israel led to repeated death threats.

Sarah Idan, who represented the war-torn country last month in Las Vegas, sat down with CNN to talk about the picture for the first time since its message of understanding set off a wave of social media attacks.
“Peace and Love from Miss Iraq and Miss Israel #missuniverse,” she posted on her Instagram account, adding heart emojis next to a picture of her with fellow contestant, Adar Gandelsman.

Idan, a 27-year-old who was her country’s first contestant in the pageant in 45 years, immediately began receiving backlash for the post from those criticizing the state of Israel, leading her to write a follow up post saying that the selfie was support for the Benjamin Netanyahu administration or a slight against Palestinians.
The aspiring singer, who also has U.S. citizenship and lives in Los Angeles, told CNN that the Iraqi organization that sent her to the pageant had threatened to strip her crown if she did not take the photo down.
She said that she refused to do so, but stayed quiet about the matter for weeks as her family left the country amid harassment and people recognizing them in the street.

Getting starved and bombed mercilessly and without cause tends to make people a little on edge, just saying.

Americans destroy Iraq based on lies and then complain about Iraqis being cranky.

    The irony...

Her country gets destroyed by the Zionist state, that spread its branches well abroad, by using the United States of America to help with it, while she has dual-citizenship, and takes a picture with a friend she made along the way who happens to be an Israeli.

And that's how she communicated with the same people who saw their country destroyed, but she never thought of that before taking a picture of the same symbol her own countrymen may not be able to look at for bad memories sake, but for some reason she did not understand that point before embarking on what might seem harmless to some, but real bad memories may come back when something else triggers it.

And really, it is not even unreasonable to feel that way. After being under pressure and inside of something so very horrible for a very great length of time, but that's not understood, just that they are being unreasonable about all of it, but what really made them that way? They have enjoyed their lives so much, must have lots of good memories to go along with all of it.

This presupposes that the hostility only goes one way. In fact, it's mutual. And we could argue all day over who started it, but what cannot be argued is that Iraq is a veritable wasteland because the USA (at the urging of Israel) sanctioned, bombed, and invaded it based on lies. So it's understandable if Iraqis are a bit sensitive towards the whole Israel thing. That does not make what they did to this woman's family appropriate. She did nothing wrong and neither did her family. But one can hardly be surprised that Iraqis are influenced by irrational feelings of hatred and animus towards Israel given the horrors they've been subjected to over the past two decades.

The Torah does not demand that the Jews enslave or kill all non Jews, as does the Qur'an and the hadiths demand from muslims. Israel DO NOT ATTACK the nations around her in 1948, 1967, 1983, 1997, etc. She defended herself.

If not for Israel, most palestinians would STARVE. If we disarmed the muslims in the Middle East, there would be no more war; if we disarmed Israel, there would be no more Israel.
