I believe animals are not gone when they die, but there is still a difference between man and animals here in this existence. Man can reason and make moral decisions. Animals can't do that.

That's both feelings and morality.
It's really funny how humans like to think we are something special, as if the universe revolves around us. We are just the tiniest of specs in space, very insignificant. Go ahead and think you are superior to other creatures on this rock.
Thank you for this post because it is the truth. How did a spider know to spin silk when you asked it to? It didn't understand? Sure it didn't, as the cross on its back was evidence of something more, that G'd uniquely designed something else besides mankind. By the cross it is saved.

The spider is acting on instinct. There is no thought process: I can do A, B, or C, and I choose to do A. And there certainly is no consideration of morality in making that decision.

So, what is your point then? The spider acts higher than you can. It sure did, just the way a moth understood what was being said to it, as it accomplished an acknowledgement to leave where it was, fly to a fern, turn back, hop back into your hand, as three aves flew over after asking for them.

We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.
