They have a sense of humor, just not about themselves.

After all the talk that she was so ill following her stint in the State Department, I really thought she wouldn't run. She sure got healthy in a hurry. It was promised to her, which is ridiculous. Apart from Bernie, the rest of the DNC contenders were zombies.

thBZF1LSXM.jpgIf I had to guess, I bet this is an actual pic of when the election was called.

Why are Democrats so silent on Bernie being screwed? Election tampering anyone?

There's a lot of truth to that really, the stronger the sense of humor, the higher the insecurities tend to be. Full disclosure. I tend to be joking constantly, yet also am extremely insecure. @Green Arrow can attest to both. My mom sent me this in response to the death of Robin Williams.

As to where my sense of humor comes from, I attribute it most to my grandpa, though I didn't appreciate him enough until after his death. When I was little, I was extremely serious, with no sense of humor. My grandpa would tease me, and I thought he hated me. In high school, my sense of humor developed as a defense mechanism. Unfortunately, my grandpa died of bone cancer before he could see it. Now I joke around nearly 90% of the time. It beats succumbing to depression.

I write non-political humor. Despite that, I don't spare any profession or event. I can't do political humor because, after a time, everyone hates me.

Oh, I'd say we have quite the sense of humor:

Do you? Does Trump? Not judging from his Twitter account. Obama could even make fun of the Birth certificate "controversy".

One must only wonder who wrote this for him. And his "jokes" are designed to bring discredit on his detractors.
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

American humor tends not to be. We get laughs at other's expense (sort of the way the government spends other people's money).

    British humor is more self-deprecating.
