    All the same to me.
I nearly choked on my tea when I read this. OK - I have a weird fondness for bagpipes but otherwise I generally agree. To me rap and music are mutually exclusive terms. It may be entertaining, but it's not music.

To me opera sounds like the Prima Donna got her teat stuck in a wringerI've heard it said that bag pipes were invented when some drunken Scotsman said to his mate "Lets squeeze on this cows udder and make some disgoosting music"Rap Music, well what can you say about Rap Music, Actually, the less the betterCat Skinning: Depends on how much you like cats I guess.

I can't handle soprano voices, so mostly I dislike opera. There are some arias that are quite beautiful, however - so long as they are not performed by a soprano. Somehow bagpipes strike a Celtic genetic chord for me. Not all pieces, but some. Amazing Grace on bagpipes gives me chills. It's a haunting sound.

An Ohio small college, Wooster, has a marching bag pipes band that plays halftime at football games. I met one of the players and he let me try to play it. I was horrendous, but it was a blast. I can see how a player could become obsessed.

As a family, one day we were walking over the hill and accidentally found a cottontail rabbit nest and we brought a couple of the already weaned bunnies home. We kept one and gave the other to a friend. We kept that bunny for eight years - he would only eat wild food, and had free run of the house, since he would naturally go back to his cage to go to the bathroom. However, every time he heard bagpipes on the TV, he would freeze in his tracks and listen to the pipes until the music ended.

My sister is married into a Scottish family. Her nephew has become a really good piper. It takes a great deal of practice not to sound like you are killing things.

Between you and the Gifted One? It was pretty cool when it was just amateur screaching, too! I can see why they used them on battlefields.

That was great. I think the Army was better in general, although when the Navy loosened up, they were very good.
