Never heard that, pit vipers have a hemotoxic venom that causes mass tissue necrosis in all but those immune by way of anti venom. Coral snakes have a neurotoxic venom that attacks organ function, nasty stuff. No allergies cause those effects. Perhaps in rare cases, compound those effects.
If you are injected with pit viper venom, you WILL have a bad day. Anyphalaxis or no.

Yes, but there are no native large constrictors. There are those that have been released that may be a danger, assuming they survive. That's why the biggest problem is in FLA. The climate there generally doesn't reach killing temperatures and there is plenty of natural snake habitat and food for boas and pythons, among other tropical snakes and reptiles. The southern west coast is not nearly as accommodating for snakes. Too dry and not enough food except in the cities.

There are plenty of far less venomous snakes out there that are lethal to rodents, but not generally lethal to people, unless they are allergic - that's what I meant. Even the common garter snake has venom. No big deal if it bites you, unless you are allergic to the mild venom.
