    I am discussing those assumptions. Alexander the Great was never defeated, David IV beat an army that outnumbered him 11 to 1, and of course the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon.

    Ancient estimates of army size are notoriously unreliable and the Prussians saved Wellington. Agree on Alexander.
