How a Quaker's suit against the Defense Secretary still affects surveillance cases

How a Quaker's suit against the defense secretary still affects surveillance cases -- I am severely troubled by what we've become in today's surveillance world. The oft-butchered quote of Franklin: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” often comes to mind.

    This is an interesting piece.

Since obama got in office it became apparent how out of control our intelligence community is, im not saying he started it but he did promote it.

Just this mueller investigation and wikileaks and snowden and other incidents have shown us how out of control and undisciplined they are.

Yes, it's particularly exciting that when they know where you are, they try to run you off the road for something else.

Corey Feldman is one of my friends, and the book he wrote, well that is what happens when you help others escape.

I am troubled by surveillance too. But when Ben made his famous quote, Americans were not in danger of terrorists using a nuclear device to cause mass death.

There has to be a balance between surveillance and freedom.

The mass surveillance of western civilians is about economic and social control, not fighting terrorism.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
