Well if Trump's claim to being qualified for POTUS is being a successful businessman, Oprah has him beat. She is also a billionaire (2.8 B), 16 years younger than Trump, has never gone bankrupt, nor has she lost other people's investments. She also didn't receive a million or more dollar head start from Daddy. She may be just as much of a political neophyte, but she did help put Obama in power. She owns a network and she has a huge following. She may not be my first choice for POTUS but I wouldn't discount her ability to garner votes.

Regardless of what she is saying now, she still has a year or so to make up her mind. I don't know why she would want the job, but beyond the sleazy Hollywood types, she will receive encouragement from her millions of fans. Just for the record, I am not particularly in favor of celebrity Presidents or populist candidates in general. I particularly don't want anyone in power who expects people to kiss their butts because that's what they are used to and that's what you get when you have someone rising from the ranks of big business into politics.
