Do we not still have freedom of speech in this country? When did the president become immune to criticism?
"Those who produce should have, but we know that those who produce the most — that is, those who work hardest, and at the most difficult and most menial tasks, have the least."

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I guess you are right. Everyone should be allowed to be as crude and obscene as they want and yell out "criticisms" at inappropriate times. After all, it shows just how brave these pampered thugs are by showing that they too have the right to be small children who can't control their emotions.

I like to yell fire in movie theaters and they won’t let me.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

My bet is the football player really has no idea that we actually have a President of the United States. He thinks the country is run by coaches.

I am always shocked at how little class the left has anymore. When the Congressman yelled liar at Obama the left had a bad case of the vapors and the truth is while not obscene or in a family setting he should not have done that, it was poor manners. When some thug of a football player, yells obscenities during a sporting event he is suddenly a world hero, invited on the Oprah and Steven Cobert shows and given a scholarship to Harvard for his "political acumen".

It isn't that he "criticized" the President, it's his extreme lack of judgement in the venue of that criticism and more, the disgusting acceptance of being crude by the leftist.

I didn't see it but 2 things, as a student who represents the University, he may bot be able to express his opinions, just like if he was at a job. 2nd did you actually hear him say the words? Then no he can not as the broadcast of that word would be a FCC violation.

That is only ok if you're a congressperson present for the state of the union and you yell out "you lie", or anything directed towards Obama. Since it's Trump, it's weird how suddenly the conservative constitutionalists are now acting like liberal snowflakes.
“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”

See my post #14 regarding the "Liar" comment.

BTW, I can post "Liar" on this board but I cannot post "$#@! You" so apparently even lefties think somethings are inappropriate

They are only showing how partisan they are, because they applauded whenever someone cussed out Obama. Remember Ted Nugent?

I was not aware that Rep. Wilson was the "left".

His freedom of speech is not being challenged as the Gov't is not prohibiting his speech. However his personal conduct including speech while in uniform representing the University can be controlled. The complaint letter was addressed to the University about an issue that brings a negative light to the University. That is not a free speech issue and the idea of free speech has nothing to do with it.
But maybe you do not understand that the 1st amendment was a restriction placed on the Gov't, they can not restrict free speech, although they do in regards to some aspects. Companies and even Universities can restrict what people do when representing them.
