We have known that smoking was bad for your heath for at least 100 years. Cigarettes were called coffin nails when I was in grade school in the 1950's. I remember seeing a cartoon that dated back to the 40's that showed the dangers of smoking. Coaches would not let their players smoke because of the health effects. For anyone in the 1960's to say they were unaware cigarettes were harmful meant they had to already be brain dead.

Actually, I quit for two reasons, one (first and foremost) was that I almost burned my infant son's face with a cigarette I had in my mouth when I picked him up and (20), cigarettes went from 35 cents a pack to 50 cents a pack and I thought that was outrageous.

Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

Marlboros (I don't buy them) cost over 6 $ a pack. Most of that is TAX, the fed ought to be forced to have a peoples audit, where does that $ go?

It subsidizes the tobacco industry as the sales of cigarettes declines.

I am far from an expert on hedgehoggery, but I seem to recall that before they became a trendy pocket pet, they hid in hedges until after dark and a lot of people didn't know they were there.

If you think about it, tobacco became bad when the Hollywood guys in the white hats stopped smoking and the guys in the black hats picked it up... nothing racial here more good guy/bad guy cowboy thing...think about it!
