I'm a bettin the profitability of the many stations dedicated to reruns has figured into there decision making process. Just off my antenna I get 11 channels dedicated to reruns and 2 others that are about 50/50. Most are available on the local Charter Cable system.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

I think SNL should do a whole show with the original cast. Well those who are alive anyways. And those who are not with us can be played by some of the new cast. Dumb idea? Probably..,

Tonight's show was good I thought. Love Halsey. And Leslie Jones' impersonation of Oprah was hilarious.

New show's mean huge production costs for the networks so they are very hesitant to develop them as a rule.

They save money on production costs on existing shows since the shows are already in the can and most likely still have an audience for them. Their only costs are basically residuals and distribution. Everything else is pure profit for them.

I personally enjoy watching some of the older B&W shows such as the Honeymooners and the Outer Limits; both very well produced show's with long time loyal audiences.

Think 3rd party for 2024 folks. Clean up America.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.
