Just, let them all come in....sick, poor, unskilled, uneducated....for us to feed, house, clothe, provide medical care for....let's talk about that, as soon as there are no more AMERICANS living in their cars and the streets, when AMERICANS aren't going to bed hungry or, when every AMERICAN has a job that allows him/her to support their families.

So in your opinion immigrants are the reason why Americans are going to bed hungry and are unemployed? That's been the war cry for xenophobia since before the know nothings.

An immigration policy premised on "welcoming" is just...well just $#@!ing stupid, Chloe. Our policy shoudl serve the interests of the state. It's not about making rich white girls feel good about themselves. We do not need millions of uneducated, unskilled and poor migrants. We simply do not. Our needs "determine" their "opportunity".

Not being poor? Doing something more than busing tables or picking lettuce? Secondly, this isn't about sending anyone back but who is coming and why we're allowing it. Again, this isn't about a rich white girl's self-esteem. It's about our society and what is good for us not Haitians or the inhabitants of any of these $#@!hole countries.

Is she here legally to begin with? If not, no amount of success matters. If she is then if she is supporting her family then no, she has a right to be here.

What are our needs?

Anything that adds to the wealth of the country. Collecting welfare certainly does not quality as a need. I saw a statistic that claimed 92% of the Haitians who came to this country after the recent earthquake were collecting welfare. What exactly do we need them for?

Well, we know from several things she has posted she is (1) a white girl and (2) if not rich then certainly upper middle class.
