What Trump said is that we need better immigrants and that America does not need poor, uneducated migrants from Africa or Haiti. That you parrot free market propaganda about birth rates is amusing but you are positively delusional if you think poor migrants are going to save Western welfare systems. Are you for real? Yeah, invite a whole bunch of poor people to have children. Great idea! I laughed at first but...you're $#@!ing serious.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

It's amazing to me how progressive will extol the virtues of countries where hostility to immigration, particularly non-white immigration, is common. Worse still, they do this in an effort to critique Trump's supposed "xenophobia"! Incredible.

In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

Let's see by a showing of hands, who's moving to Norway?
I seem to recall that established Americans were pretty much beside themselves during the great waves of immigration during the 1890's. A great deal of crime resulted during that time - there was no welfare, but the children of those immigrants went on to build the nation.

I have no issue with being picky about importing people with potential, but every immigrant can't be a professional. Some should be trades people and administrative types and those who want to establish businesses. The country of origin doesn't matter, but the character of the immigrant does. Additionally, there does need to be more due dilligence with regard to educating prospective immigrants with regard to the law in America and cultural practices that violate the law. Perhaps having to pass a test in that regard would be in order.
However, rather than being histrionic about admitting third worlders, it should be a matter of being more pragmatic about vetting applicants.
That may well slow the process, but improve the outcome.
