The premise of the thread is idiotic, but I guess it needs to run it's course before it dies it's miserable death.
The only americans that hate the country are the same americans that have always hated the country: miserable whiny liberal turds.

My 401K is 20% larger, and I've put nothing in it over the last 12 months.

Good for you, but you don't own any more than you did a year ago as far as it goes.

    This is interesting:
President Trump’s effort to bar many Muslims from entering the United States may have actually caused public opinion to shift towards Muslims in general — just not in the direction the president likely intended.

Many Americans who once supported or remained neutral on Trump’s travel ban have altered their stance, according to a new report in Political Behavior. The study, authored by political scientists Loren Collingwood, Nazita Lajevardi, and Kassra A.R. Oskooii, surveyed 423 people prior to the first iteration of the ban, which targeted all refugees and citizens from seven Muslim-majority nations.

When surveyed again a week later, many of the same respondents seemed to have changed their minds. Around 30 percent said they felt more negatively towards the legislation than they had prior to its introduction, with many of those showing the biggest shift also describing their U.S. nationality as a major component of their identity.

That’s a notable turn of events, one that indicates the Trump administration’s hardline efforts to target immigrants — especially Muslim immigrants — could be backfiring.
Around 30 - 40% of Americans are racists just like Trump. That seems pretty clear. But I still think most Americans like the idea of the America being a nation of people from all over the world. It's our national mythos, even though we've always had this nativist strain and for centuries treated new immigrants like dirt until they assimilated and they did the same. But at least since the middle of the last century, pride in the American melting pot and our immigrant character has been something that kids were taught in school in the same we they're taught that we believe in freedom and liberty. It may not be true, but it's an ideal that people like to believe is true.

Trump is making Americans hate their own country.
sigh, nonesense, the left has always hated the real america, they want a $#@!hole america

Funny how you missed all that.
I wouldn't know how much richer you allege you are (though I consider that amount suspect unless you were starting off with little to begin with) and you seem to ignore the part about the median income already rising before he took office or even was elected. I guess if several large plants are opening or expanding is enough evidence, then I will point out than many are going in the other direction. Funny how you missed that. Ask them Carrier employees about Trump saving their jobs....

I started off with quite a bit. My retirement investments have grown in value about 22%.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

True, because I haven't bought any more. The things I do own are just more valuable.
As a matter of fact, If I could withdraw the entire amount without a huge penalty, I would. I can make a lot more than 20% in the free market, and in a lot shorter time than 12 months.

Or it could be a lot less valuable by the time your sell order went in. Who knows. It is all pixels until you actually have the money in hand. You might want to look at other options though because my 401K is doing better than 20% in emerging markets. Last time I checked it was closer to 28%

Edit. I checked. I beat 30 for the year

Well done. To me, the 401k is funny-money. I contributed to it only because my previous employer matched a certain amount. It could disappear tomorrow and I wouldn't lose a blink of sleep. I far prefer the huge returns I get by buying low and selling high in the cash-only vintage musical instrument market.

For me it is real estate. I invest my 401K in largely foreign performance as an offset in case my real estate tanks with the US economy. As long as the US economy does ok, my real estate should do better
