    Stopping global warming.

I am informed the way global warming works is that the carbon dioxide depletes the ozone layer and the ozone layer is what keeps us warm and cool, instead of hot and cold, of course. This is pressure, leading to stableness in the world where temperatures would be more moderate, as there is pressure keeping them stable from the ozone layer. Naturally, this calls for more ozone or [o3], yes?

So, how do we make ozone? This could be released naturally into the air, if cheap and easy enough to make, and then we could go silly with carbon emissions once more, knowing we can simply deplete it again, yes? Maybe we could simply take some water out the ocean and 'compress it?' With sea levels rising, this would be the natural solution, I would suppose?

If we were to take some trees or plants in laboratory room, we could easily pump it with carbon dioxide for them, and suck out the oxygen, yes? Compressing this with gas compression in a chamber for a few minutes will let us release much ozone, of course.

Another solution would be to shine a lot of ultraviolet light artificially into the air. They say this is the natural way of producing ozone, of course.

Ozone is created by a natural reaction between sunlight and oxygen.

Stratospheric ozone is formed naturally by chemical reactions involving solar ultraviolet radiation (sunlight) and oxygen molecules, which make up 21% of the atmosphere. In the first step, solar ultraviolet radiation breaks apart one oxygen molecule (O2) to produce two oxygen atoms (2 O) (see Figure Q2-1).

Q2 How is ozone formed in the atmosphere?

    Global warming melting Greenland...

    Greenland is melting
The front lines of climate change run through the rapidly warming Arctic. The changes taking place on this faraway, frozen island will be felt much closer to home, wherever you live. From the top of the world, meet the scientists looking for clues of what to expect from a warming world.
Like a bowling ball on a skating rink, the black geodesic sphere of the East Greenland Ice-Core Project’s communal living space stands out against the endless white nothingness of the Greenland ice sheet. But the real action at East GRIP is under the surface. Researchers are drilling through more than 2.5 kilometers of ice, down to the bedrock below. The ice is sliding fast — for a glacier — toward the sea. Scientists here want to know why. The answer may hold clues to the future of the world’s coastal cities. Greenland is melting. As it melts, it adds roughly 1 millimeter of water per year to global sea levels. And the pace of melting is quickening.

If all the ice covering the world’s largest island were to thaw, sea levels would rise roughly 6 meters. Scientists don’t know how fast, or how likely, that is to happen. East GRIP is looking for evidence to inform both those questions. The answers are a matter of growing urgency. The seas are rising faster. And the same processes at work on Greenland’s glaciers at the top of the world could send vast sections of Antarctica’s ice sheet into the sea as well, raising ocean levels even further.

The Arctic is warming twice as fast as the rest of the planet. Scientists studying the rapid changes gather in the small Greenland town of Kangerlussuaq, a former U.S. military base built during World War II. Through the Cold War, this outpost supplied remote radar sites watching for a nuclear attack coming over the pole. These days, military transport planes fly scientists and their equipment across 1,000 kilometers of Arctic ice to East GRIP. They make research possible here and at other far-flung scientific outposts on the vast Greenland ice sheet. Departing from Kangerlussuaq, VOA visited East GRIP and other remote corners of Greenland with the 109th Airlift Wing of the U.S. Air National Guard for a firsthand look at science in action at the leading edge of climate change.

This is my favorite part of Global Warming

    https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart...wed-180955399/

AS the glaciers recede they have turned up tree stumps and arrowheads and farming tools and villages.

You would not have thought that ancient man had the ability to tunnel under those Glaciers and do all of that stuff

OR? could it be that there was a time that those glaciers were not there, and we are just going through a cycle?

    Just a thought

Global Warming Threatens Marine Wildlife with Extinction...

Hotter Seas Threaten Marine Wildlife with Extinction, Researchers Say
May 07, 2018 — Polar bears and other iconic animals could be extinct by the end of the century if ocean temperatures continue to rise at the current rate, marine biologists warned Monday.
Warming temperatures caused by climate-changing emissions may result in a catastrophic loss of marine wildlife and drastic changes to ocean food webs by 2100, scientists at the Florida Institute of Technology and the University of North Carolina said in a paper published in the journal Nature Climate Change.

    Ocean temperatures on rise

Much current marine life will be unable to tolerate ocean temperatures that are projected to increase by 2.8 degrees Celsius on average, according to the study. “With warming of this magnitude, we expect to lose many, if not most, animal species from marine protected areas by the turn of the century,” said the study's lead author, John Bruno, a biologist at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

A polar bear keeps close to her young along the Beaufort Sea coast in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska

Marine protected areas, established as sanctuaries for polar bears, coral reefs and other wildlife threatened by human activities such as fishing and oil extraction, have failed to protect species from the impacts of global warming, the scientists said. In Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, a large number of corals already have been destroyed by bleaching and diseases related to higher temperatures, the study noted.

    Poles are most at risk

The protections in place will be ineffective by 2100 if greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise at the current rate, researchers said. Reduced oxygen concentrations in the ocean — one consequence of global warming — will make marine protected areas uninhabitable to most species, they argued.

Richard Aronson, a co-author of the study and head of the department of ocean engineering and marine sciences at Florida Tech, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation that wildlife in the Arctic and Antarctic is particularly at risk. “Oceanic warming is happening most rapidly at the poles. Warming will threaten polar ecosystems generally, including iconic wildlife like polar bears and penguins,” he said in an email.

    Oceans absorb gases

Around 90 percent of the heat trapped by greenhouse gases is absorbed by oceans, Aronson said. “We have to take bold steps individually and as a society to control emissions. Shifting away from our dependence on fossil fuels would be a major step in the right direction,” he said. “Stabilizing emissions over the next few decades could cut the rate of warming in half,” he added.

It is a shame the authors failed to mention the polar bears are doing very, very well, at the moment.
