    Yesterday's NFL Games

Eagles v. Falcons best game I've seen in a while. Foulds silenced his critics at least for now despite nasty winds and his team playing down two takeaways to none. But the real story is the immprovement in both of those defenses in the past couple of years.
Then there was a typiccal Patriot blowout with all the braks going there way, again,, and typical attempts by Brady and Belicheck to run the score up and stat pad at the end. Having said that ,, they will be tough to beat, but they are going two have to go through 2 very good defenses to win the trophy this year.

I was rooting for Tennessee just because I like to see an against big odds win, but ultimately I am always for Pittsburgh to take it all. NFL isn't my cup of tea generally though so I don't get worked up about it the way same some do, especially the Brady-hate. I prefer college games.

I used to watch more ccollege in fact we watched most of the SU v. Seminoles BB game yesterday. But sometimes I get thinking: I'm not going to get too wound up about what kind of issues are effecting the play on the field/court of some 20 year old. Having said that the lower the level of a sport , the less money involved the less skilled the play but the purer the game. Right down to the sandlot where kids play for love of the game

I used to go to a lot of football games for UVA/VA Tech/WVU, as well as a lot of home games for Tarheel basketball primarily for free admission as I know so many people who buy season tickets by the truckloads and resell them within alumni networks and they would give me tickets they didn't move, or you know, they actually wanted me to be their guest at the good games for reasons known but to God. Saw a few Duke, Pitt and Maryland games that way as well.

Now I just see them as time sucks that keep me away from doing other things I need/want to be doing instead. Plus, I am increasingly doubtful about safety and security connected to mass gatherings people are so out of control crazy these days. I have crossed that generational bridge into being a homebody. I get free tickets offered to me to a lot of local university events by a friend who is the alumni director there, sports or otherwise, but they seldom appeal to me.

Either Goodell told the officials to swing the game the Pats’ way or Kraft paid off the officials. The most egregious call they made was calling a false start on the Titans instead of the Pats in the second quarter, and the call in the fourth quarter of a false start on one of our receivers when he was only trying to determine if he was going into completely normal WR motion.

Probably, especially after we lost Conklin.
