How would the state or Feds know you were buying legal pot?

With Medical MJ- you get a card issued by the state.

It wouldn't take long, if they were so inclined to build a database of purchasers.

This is for when the feds bust down your door declaring that pot use is still a Federal law breaking act and by you not having your guns you can't protect your property. Sounds eerily similar to a Waco thing.

You have to pay cash. Banks won't touch marijuana dispensaries. They would immediately make themselves vulnerable to money laundering charges by the Feds.

Well, the key is to get Congress to change the law. Until then, it remains illegal and unlike in the Obama years, the current AG has the green light to do his job and enforce the laws of the United States.

VT just passed a small bill, pretty much, one oz in possession above age 21 plus 6 plants at home 2 mature, 4 babies. This is the first state to do this through the legislature...this is good for the country, but potentially bad for the state...

If the Feds want to do it, they will. If it comes right down to it, there won't be much support for the "legal marijuana" crowd.

What the states need to do instead of passing these stupid, meaningless legalization bills is get their representatives in Congress to push the issue on a federal level. Until then, the states can pass all the laws they want and they won't mean anything.

I have been approached by two separate medical marijuana grow facilities to provide security for them. They both would have been pretty lucrative contracts but I turned them down. I am not going to put any of my people between the growers and the DEA. It is not going to happen. When and if it is ever decriminalized at the federal level, I will revisit the issue, but until then, even though the states may see them as legal, they are in fact a criminal enterprise and if the feds decide to shut them down and seize their assets and the assets of anyone who knowingly does business with them, they can.
