Huh? My point, WHY would anyone want to engage with someone who starts the conversation as an attack. That makes no sense to me. I personally don't want to be around people that are so negative all the time on either side. If I do comment it's generally to point out how the situation can be improved not to make it personal or thrive on personal attacks.

that makes you the exception to the rule as a democrat. Maybe when you are called racist, deplorable, trumpet trumpkin and the plethora of other nasty things Trump supporters are routinely called, you bite back.

Not saying you do these things, but quite a few Democrats do.

I agree. It's demoralizing. There are reasons why people vote the way they do and there are many variables involved so it's not so easy to label or put people in boxes. I do not like this President but I try not to be disrespectful to the Office or his supporters. I admit with every passing day I struggle with trying to understand the devotion.

I agree. If you start a thread as an attack, I am not sure why you expect opposing views to just not move on.
