USA Today: 3.6M Illegals Brought to the US as Kids

We pay for all this, to educate, medical care and everything else and they are here ILLEGALLY.

An estimated 3.6 million illegal immigrants in America were brought here as children — a stunning figure more than three times higher than one commonly used in the contentious political debate over the fate of so-called Dreamers, USA Today reported.
The larger number isn't widely known because so much attention is currently focused on the 800,000 immigrants protected by the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program — and terminated by President Donald Trump last September, the outlet noted.

Yet even though politicians toss around the terms "Dreamers" and "DACA" interchangeably, "that's not a distinction without a difference," House Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., told USA Today.
According to USA Today, the 3.6 million estimate of illegal immigrants brought to the United States as minors comes from the non-profit Migration Policy Institute — and represents about a third of all illegals in America.

"At a time when our economy is growing and our labor market is extremely tight, these are all folks of working age who have skills to immediately contribute," Ali Noorani, executive director of the pro-immigrant National Immigration Forum, told the news outlet. "We would be spending billions of dollars to remove folks who have the potential to help the country grow."

Mark Krikorian, executive director for the Center for Immigration Studies, which favors lower levels of immigration, disagrees.
"It's not like they're entitled to anything, but prudence suggests an extraordinary act of mercy," he told USA Today. "Amnesty is warranted for them alone, at least this time."
Cecilia Muñoz, the former domestic policy director for President Barack Obama, said the 2012 executive order could only go so far protecting Dreamers, and now that Congress is involved, more migrants brought here as children should be given the same protection.

    One would think by now...

... they would have applied for citizenship...

... and taken the exam to become legal.

Don't think this is asking too much...

... considering the benefits they've enjoyed so far.

We need to modernize our immigration laws. Canada has sensible laws, so we don't need to reinvent the wheel.

Take the easy welfare money out of the equation. Food-stamps, Medicaid, housing, the whole shebang. Deny their rights to citizenship for the child they choose to plop out on US soil. Deport millions.
" I'm old-fashioned. I like two sexes! And another thing, all of a sudden I don't like being married to what is known as a 'new woman'. I want a wife, not a competitor. Competitor! Competitor!" - Spencer Tracy in 'Adam's Rib' (1949)

Art thou every retard among us related to thine uncle or mistress by way of moral or illegitimate rendezvous? Thus, we are one side of the other's coin by luck or pluck. - Jimmyz
