One key detail emerged. Report stated that when the homeowner encountered the coming out the window there was a "confrontation". Need to learn what that entailed.

Agree. But the law gets pretty explicit as to where the lines are drawn when firing a weapon defending your home. The details will matter....and the homeowner may be okay.


But what we can be fairly certain of is that the family of the burglar will be filing a civil lawsuit for damages. That has become almost like clockwork.....

She had no way to know he would not come right back in and attack. Don't want to get shot , don't rob someone's house when they are home

Actually she wasn't home. She was alerted by a security monitor and came to the house. And the police were also on the way.

Not trying to dismiss her as being in the wrong. We just need more details to reach any conclusions.

Evidently, Trayvon was exiting the window when shot by the homeowner who was outside, she will likely be charged. If you shoot someone, better make sure they are in your home or present a clear threat to your life.*Edit (she will likely be charged) is my opinion*

She is going to be OK a person that is in your home is a clear and present danger. she was outside he was exiting toward her.

You would think and lets hope so, but the law can be fickle.

The law is a little easier for a women as the threat level is easier to achieve.
